Our Projects
Projects
Since JEM became a charity in 2014, we have successfully delivered a number of projects to help individuals to achieve their goals either to gain employment, voluntary work or pursue higher education.
A summary of funded projects delivered by JEM include:
- April 2014 – February 2015: ‘Employability Skills Project’ funded by Awards for All – to support individuals who are not in employment, education or training to improve their future education, training and employment prospects.
- December 2014 - July 2015: ‘Job Search Techniques Project’ funded by European Social Fund – to support people from the hardest to reach communities and individuals experiencing multiple disadvantages to access opportunities to engage and progress in learning.
- May 2016 – March 2017 ‘Job Search and Interview Techniques Project’ funded by Awards for All – to provide employability skills training to help jobseekers improve their future education, training and employment prospects.
- November 2017 – October 2018: ‘Route 2 Employment Project’ funded by Awards for All - provide employability skills training to help jobseekers in the Black and Minority Ethnic community to improve their future education, training and employment prospects.
- January 2017 - December 2018: ‘Employability and Computer Skills Project’ funded by the Henry Smith Charity - to improve the life chances and employment prospects of refugees and asylum seekers.
- December 2019- December 2022: ‘From Isolation towards Social Inclusion’ funded by the National Lottery Community Fund – to improve the life chances and employment prospects of asylum seekers and refugees.
- September 2022 – November 2023: ‘Route 2 work and social inclusion’ was founded by Awards for All - to improve the life chances and employment prospects of unemployed people in the BAME community, including refugees and asylum seekers.
- Also, we received core funding to help deliver our projects from: YAPP Charitable Trust: July 2021 – July 2024. Garfield Weston Foundation: September 2022 – September 2024. Allen Lane Foundation: August 2022 - August 2023.
- March 2024 - March 2026 ‘Route to Work and Social Inclusion’ funded by Awards for All.
