Dr Patrick Boateng
Founding Director
Patrick is an HR Consultant. He holds a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology and is also a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Patrick’s other qualifications include: BA (Soc. Sci); Dip (Hosp. Adm); Cert (Soc. Psychol); and Cert (Educ. Train).
As a systematic problem solver with negotiation and influencing skills, Patrick has led a number of significant change management programmes and provided consultancy and advice, including equality and diversity policy; youth employment strategy; employee development; grievance and disciplinary process and performance management process.
Patrick has responsibility for co-ordinating projects and providing mentoring support.
Mr Rex Panti-Amoa
ENGLISH AND JOB SEARCH SKILLS TRAINER
Rex has a Master of Education (M.Ed) degree and has been a Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development for the past 24 years. A trained Teacher by profession, Rex has held various positions in Human Resources Development and Personnel.
Rex was the Training and Employment Officer for Derbyshire County Councils’ Equal Opportunities Department. The role also involved Consultancy and Advise on managing diversity. He has also been training staff at the SETC (Staff Education & Training Centre) of Derbyshire Adult Care. This training has included an extensive range of training in the areas of both Management and Social Care.
Mr Kamal MOHAMMED FARAHR
Special Adviser
Kamal has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in development studies, with broad knowledge of informal education including designing and delivering educational workshops. He has extensive experience in community development and has been advising and supporting JEM in a number of key areas including project management, sources of funding and funding applications.
Miss Julie Goodall
IT Tutor
Julie has a keen interest in computers and has provided IT Support in the Voluntary Sector for a number of years. Her experience in IT contributed enormously to the success of JEM’s Digital Inclusion Training Programme.
Julie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer Network Engineering B.Eng)
Mrs Narges Yavari
ESOL Tutor
Narges is an ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) lecturer who holds an MA degree in International Development, a BS degree in International Studies from the American University in Washington, D.C. , and a TESOL Certificate from Trinity College, London.
She is a committed and dedicated ESOL lecturer with more than twenty-five years of experience who is able to effectively communicate with learners from diverse cultures and backgrounds or varying degrees of ability in addition to tailoring teaching methods to suit the needs of individual learners.
